What Are BG Products?

BG Products, one of the largest chemical and lubricant manufacturers in the United States, produces chemicals and lubricants for protection of engines, power steering, cooling systems, fuel systems,. automatic transmissions, manual transmissions and differentials.

What Is The BG Lifetime Protection Plan?
The Lifetime BG Protection Plan begins after initial service with BG products and continues as long as necessary service is performed within certain time periods. In order to maintain protection engine service must be performed within 5,000 miles (8,000 km) of the previous service. Service on automatic transmission, differential, transfer case, manual transmission, transaxle, brakes and/or cooling system must be performed within 30,000 miles (50,000 km) of the previous service.

Coverage is divided into two levels depending on the mileage of your vehicle when coverage is initiated. Plan 1 covers vehicles on which the initial service was performed within 36,000 miles (60,000 km). Plan 2 covers vehicles on which the initial service was performed between 36,001 miles (60,001 km) and 75,000 miles (120,000 km). Under Plan 2 protection begins 500 miles (800 km) after initial service with BG products.

Covered Items:

• Engine; covers pistons & rings, camshafts & bearings, turbo bearings, valve lifters, oil pump, wrist pins & bushings, push rods, crankshaft & bearings, timing chains, timing gears or sprockets, rods & rod bearings, intake valves & guides, cylinder liners or bores, rocker arms & pivots and distributor drive gear.
• Fuel(gasoline only); covers oxygen sensors, PCV and injectors.
• Cooling system; covers the heater core, water pump, freeze plugs and radiator
• Automatic transmission; Covers the lubricated parts within the transmission case or housing plus damage to the case or housing when caused by an internally lubricated part covered by this protection plan.
• Manual transmission/transaxle; covers the lubricated parts within the transmission case.
• Transfer case; covers the lubricated parts within the transfer case
• Front differential; covers the lubricated parts within the front differential housing or case.
• Rear differential; covers the lubricated parts within the rear differential housing or case..
• Power steering; covers the power steering gear box or rack and power steering pump.
• Brake system; covers the pump, valves, master cylinder, calipers and metallized hoses.
